Priority Tours

As part of the “Reflexive Methodology,” the “Priority Tours” can be described as a forum for discussions between various categories of participants on the project, such as the excavators and representatives of the various laboratories. Three time a week, a group of experts made up of one representative from each laboratory tours the excavation areas and collects information from the excavators. These discussions are especially dependent on personal confidence and experience to be reflexive.

Specialists and excavators exchange their ideas on a specific unit to prioritize the relevant unit for responding to questions and to give feedback on the next round. The excavator hence interprets the unit by evaluating the clues received from specialists. Hence, the excavated unit and the finds it contains are evaluated simultaneously.
